I enjoyed both cases and the overall resolution. If I had the first book I’d probably have given a 4 or 5. I watched the tv show instead of reading it, then read her latest which I rated a 5, and thus decided to read all of them.
Parts of the plot, and resulting character decisions irked me a bit. Not going to say what due to spoilers, and it’s just my opinion about how I think characters might have reacted differently.
I will continue with the series as I really enjoy the main and supporting characters, and their development. In addition I really enjoy McDermid’s writing
